What is Pisco - Australia?
Australian Pisco brandy is the name of an un-wooded brandy made in South America. Chilean Pisco and Argentinian Pisco are nearly the same and some will argue who makes the best Pisco. For more information, check out Wikipedia. However, there are a few great Pisco producers in Australia. Only one uses a wood-fired pot still to make an organic Pisco. In France, unwooded brandy is called Eau de Vie. We use refined Australian Pisco alcohol for fortifying our own organic wines. Try a few and see what you think is the best cocktail Pisco.
